Joseph VienerSenior Partner
Joseph Viener is a senior partner at The Sanders Firm and has been practicing law since 1992. He supervises the firm’s medical malpractice department, including birth injury cases. Admitted to practice before the New York State and Federal Courts, Joseph fights for justice on behalf of those who have been injured by a medical professional’s failure to provide standard care. He is a relentless advocate for newborns and children whose lives have been dramatically changed due to birth injuries.
Joseph graduated from Washington University in 1981 and went on to obtain his Juris Doctor degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1992, after which point he joined The Sanders Firm. At the firm, Joseph primarily focuses on medical malpractice but has also handled cases involving discrimination, prisoners’ rights, and the use of unnecessary force by law enforcement. He is diligent in ensuring that each client receives personalized attention and that cases are handled as efficiently as possible.
Joseph is married to fellow senior partner Meryl Sanders Viener, and they have three wonderful children together. He and Meryl are proud members of the UJA Federation of New York, which carries out crucial human services to New Yorkers and Jewish people everywhere.
